Great Skin..The Basics.

Great Skin is skin that looks and feel radiant, soft, smooth and beautiful. Great Skin is even in skin tone, flawless and free of any impurities, and if you have this type of skin...then you don't need help from this blog. :)
The Basis of Great Skin is to follow three simple steps:
1.) Cleanse
2.) Tone
3.) Moisturize
With most skin care companies the basis is to Cleanse, Tone and Moisturize, although they may differ in the ingredients and intensity of the products. So what will these three steps actually do to your skin?
Cleansing will loosen the dead skin and also the impurities in the skin, allowing them to be removed easily by...
Toning; which will exfoliate the skin, removing the dead skin cells and the bacteria on the skin, after this process the skin has lost some of its natural moisture so therefore you must repliensh this lost moisture by...
Moisturizing the skin...Balancing the skin of its oil and water.
Continuing to always cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin twice daily will allow your skin to control excess oil, remove dead skin (flakiness if skin is dry), and also keep your skin looking healthy.
According to Clinique, Healthy skin is skin that has an intact moisture barrier, good support structure, balanced water/oil ratio and even/consistent cellular turnover.
Again these are the basics to having great skin..continue to check in to see what other skin care concerns are out there and how to treat them!

You really make great skin sound so easy! But what about those who follow a skin care regimen religiously be still are not seeing results or benefits. Personally, I feel like no matter how well I take care of my skin, I am always and will always be prone to break outs. I am gonna be like an 80 year-old with acne still. Seriously, if only I had all the money in the world, I would have a personal skin assistant (haha). You see all the stars in Hollywood and in magazines with flawless skin and you think, I wish I could look like that. But I guess most people forget that they touch-up and airbrush a lot of magazine photos, and a lot of the stars are very wealthy and can afford expensive treatments to keep their skin flawless looking.
